Now I indulge daily in generating fruit, veggies and fishes from a huge parallelopiped of styrofoam given to me twenty years ago by our friend Hugh DesMarais! It has collected dust, forever untouched, and now, because I can see across time and space through the newly opened clerestories of my rendering of a social habitat, it is being cut up and carved into suggestive symbols of a much more nature-friendly, greener Charleston! I am slowly limping along the path drawn by ‘a Tale of Charleston’ and its next iteration: ‘A Tale of Reparations’.
